ALL ABOUT TNT TUMBLE SLOT
Relax Gaming from Malta have been on the slot scene since 2010, first partnering with studios like Push Gaming and Quickspin to offer those company’s games through their own Silver Bullet platform, and then launching their own titles, including the Megaways™ slots Temple Tumble and Machina. TNT Tumble is their third tumble, or cascading wins slot, and arguably their best to date. It delivers some excellent gameplay driven by drilling wilds that come in stacks, as well multiplier opportunities that push up the win potential in the free spins round. TNT Tumble is something of an evolutionary step from Temple Tumble, taking some of the best features from there, including the choice of three levels of volatility in the bonus round, and adding some new and clever ideas that help deliver a top class and fully engaging slot.
GAME SET-UP, SYMBOLS AND GRAPHICS
TNT Tumble is set in a beautiful Alpine landscape, with green meadows, snow-capped mountains, blue skies and spring flowers all in the backdrop to the reel set which is built into a stone and iron mine shaft. It’s a pretty cool set up, not totally unlike another big slot we all know – Bonanza. Yet TNT Tumble doesn’t share the ludicrous volatility or expanding reels of BTG’s infamous Megaways™ game and it is a little less hard on the wallet, though still a tough game to crack.
This is a grid slot in a 5 reel by 7 row format. To start, only the top 4 rows are made up of symbols. The bottom 3 are stone panels. As the game begins, symbols drop down from the top and when they form clusters of three identical icons or more, a win is triggered. After any win, so the winning symbols, AND any adjacent tiles from the bottom 3 rows, are removed and new ones drop into place. This process repeats until no more clusters are formed.
The low value symbols in the game are a silver nugget and a gold nugget. Higher value symbols are gemstones – blue, green, orange and red. The red is the most valuable gemstone, paying out 15x for 7 in a cluster. The Wild is also very valuable. It is called a Wild Drill and when it is included in a win cluster so it smashes through the stone tiles in the rows beneath it. When wilds form into a cluster of 7 they pay out 50x, and when they drill through to the bottom of the grid, so they drop off.
Finally, look out for the Dynamite stone icon – this one explodes and removes ALL stone tiles in its row during the base and bonus games.
THE IMPORTANT STATS
TNT Tumble is a medium to high variance slot with a 96.11% RTP. This is reasonable, and the game comes with the option to choose how volatile you want your spins to be in the bonus round. The top payout is a very enticing 12,278x but to get anywhere near that you’ll need to be getting lucky with extra spins and multipliers in the free spins round as we are about to explain. Relax’s latest slot is available from 10p per spin and for most players we recommend playing at a low stake because you’ll need to stretch your bankroll to get a good session out of this one.
GAMEPLAY AND FEATURES
Free Spins and Multipliers
Like all good high (ish) variance slots, TNT Tumble really gets going in the bonus round. There are some great opportunities here to unleash some fantastic win sequences as it’s all about consecutive tumblers, multipliers and extra spins. The free spins round comes when ALL three rows of stone blocks are removed from one spin and tumble sequence in the base game. This sets up six free spins with three options to choose from, each with a different variance rating:
Extra Spins (medium variance) – here, extra stone blocks are added to the grid, each revealing 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 extra spins.
Multipliers and Extra Spins (high variance) – extra stone blocks are added to the grid with extra spins or multipliers revealed.
Multipliers (very high variance) – extra stone blocks are added to the grid, each with a 1x, 2x or 3x multiplier.
The stone blocks reveal their multipliers are extra spins whenever they are destroyed as part of a win cluster. This creates for some thrilling gameplay, particularly as blasting away at the 3 stone rows at the bottom of the grid also sets up 2 extra spins each time. And in the bonus round, after each spin the 3 rows are NOT re-set, but remain as they are.
As all the best slots are, this game is just great fun. When the action gets going and consecutive tumbles with Drill Wilds are in play then it really feels like the chase is on for those big prizes. The hands-free action in the bonus round has the potential to be awesome – you can just sit back and watch as your multipliers and free spins total up. That’s where you just might get close to a really big payout, so be patient, and as always, play responsibly.
