All About Pig Wizard Megaways™ Slot
The Pig Wizard original slot was launched in 2015. Funnily enough, the game was originally going to be marketed as “Harry Trotter – The Pig Wizard”, but for some reason, the developer gave up on the idea – we can only assume it had something to do with trademark issues! The shortened title didn’t harm the release, as the game earned quite a following for being quirky and entertaining. After all, who doesn’t want a see a pig in a purple robe and a pointy hat?
Despite its popularity, Pig Wizard version 1.0 had a somewhat tarnished reputation due to its low RTP. Blueprint have fixed this in the Megaways™ edition, setting it at 95.75%. Still a little lower than others in the series, but better.
So … come and meet the heroic hog and you may win prizes up to 10,000 times your stake.
Themes, Gameplay, Symbols and Pay Tables
The Pig Wizard slot features the cartoonish pig dressed as Merlin, about to perform memorable wizardry on you as soon as the reels start spinning. The whole interface looks enchanted by some mystic spell and you can see a castle and a full moon in the backdrop. Nicely framed reels contain a series of theme-related icons, but also a standard lineup of playing card symbols, this time from 9 to Ace.
Apart from a book of spells and a treasure chest, you will encounter the wizard’s hat and the sorcerer himself landing on the reels, and you don’t need a clairvoyant to predict that the pig image will be the top paying symbol. For five of them in adjacent positions, you will receive 5x your bet and double the amount for a 6-symbol combo. There are also Wilds and special icons included in the game. You can play Pig Wizard Megaways™ from 10p to £10 per spin on all compatible devices.
Mystery Mirror Modifiers
Mystery Mirror modifier features are triggered randomly – they can happen on any spin in the base game. For one, there are Spinnus Repeatum modifiers. There is a mirror on the side of the reels, and if the symbols that appear in it match the ones in the winning combo, the icons will stay in position and other reels will spin one again without charge. The feature continues until no new winning symbols appear in view.
The Magical Win Spin modifier is when the Pig Wizard adds Wilds or mystery symbols to the reels (mystery icons can reveal any regular symbol). Winnus Revealo is when the Pig Wizard appears at the end of a spin, converting a loss into a win. It can also happen on spins with winning combinations, in which case the win is upgraded.
You need 3 or more Scatter symbols to activate free spins. For 3, 4, 5 or 6 Scatter symbols the slot will give you 10, 12, 15 or 20 free spins respectively. Collecting additional Scatters adds more freebies and there are no limits to how high the number of Magic Spins can go. Did we mention that every Magic Spin has a random multiplier attached? Yup, you can have your win multiplied up to 50 times on any of the complimentary spins. Furthermore, the Magic Mirror modifiers remain active during the free spins round which makes this feature a bonus-packed magical paradise.
The Slot Buzz Verdict
Pig Wizard offers one of the most bizarre themes we’ve seen in any Megaways™ slot. But it’s a lot of fun and a highly engaging game. Blueprint is sending you a message – here’s some magic, have fun with it! The features and the bonus round are highly inventive and entertaining, but the high variance tells you to be careful with this slot – it looks playful on the outside, but it can be a brutal force, so beware when you choose your stake.
