The latest release has a very familiar feel to it – something a bit like Extra Chili with a Nordic twist. Gameplay, Symbols and Pay Tables
So here we have the usual six reels, each sporting up to 7 rows of symbols, randomly defined on each spin using the Random Reel Modifier engine. The full 7 symbol rows on 6 reels will create the maximum 117,649 ways to win. Payouts are made when identical symbols land on adjacent reels from left to right, regardless of their position on the reel.
There is an additional 4-wide reel set, with just one row of symbols, sitting above the main reels 2, 3, 4 and 5.
The reels are built into the backdrop of a Viking boat sailing the high seas. There are low value symbols – cards 9 through to Ace – and four premium symbols – a magician, a Viking girl, a red-bearded Viking and a gold-bearded Viking who pays out 50x for six on adjacent reels.
There is also a scatter that is needed in multiples to trigger the free spins round.
Finally, look out for the Hammer mystery symbol – when two or more land on one spin then they all transform into the same chosen symbol to create winlines.

As with all Megaways™ slots it’s all about hitting the free spins round. You’ll need to land four or more scatters to trigger 12 free spins. You will get an additional five free spins for every additional scatter after the first four.
Buy-In Option – It is also possible to buy-into the bonus round. Should you choose this option there are different configurations to go for:
5 Spins – 25x stake (RTP of 96.75%)
8 Spins – 50x stake (RTP of 96.89%)

The Slot Buzz Verdict
Viking’s Unleashed is nothing new, though it boasts a quality graphic design to front the familiar game engine. The buy-in is an expensive option, though if you’ve been frustrated enough times hunting down that elusive fourth scatter on a spin you’ll probably be tempted. Ultimately these games are all about free spins and anyone who has ever reached a big win screen through the bonus round will testify to the thrill they can offer.
