GAME SET-UP AND PAYTABLE

The backdrop to the game is what looks like the canyons and deserts of the American West, with 5 totems standing at the center of the screen. A native American watches the action from the left.

The artwork on the reels is amazing, with each symbol depicting a face that might be a character from Native American folklore. There are masks of blue, green, pink, orange and yellow colors. The orange pays out at 4.5x for five in a payline.

There are two types of Wilds in the game – a sleeping wild and a waking wild. The sleeping wild acts as a normal symbol when the Thunder Reels are not active. In this case it pays out 10x for five in a row. A waking wild meanwhile will pay out 25x for five in a row, and substitute for all other symbols to create a winning payline.

The other important symbol is of course the Thunder Snake. This triggers the big action as it sets of Thunder Reels, awakens the wilds and brings on re-spins and free spins.

There are two possible outcomes from the Thunder Snake symbol landing:

Thunder Reels –  one or two Thunder Snake symbols landing awakens the wilds on the respective reels and sets off a re-spin.

Turning Totems has a lot of the features we love from Thunderkick games – an original concept executed beautifully in the artwork and animations, with some exciting features to keep you engaged throughout. As a low-ish variance game the action is fairly regular, though you may wait a bit for the Thunder Reels bonus round.
