ALL ABOUT TIGER RUSH SLOT
We’re normally giddy with excitement at the prospect of another Thunderkick slot fresh out of the packet. This year Falcon Huntress and Wild Heist at Peacock Manor have both delivered some pretty intoxicating high variance action.
But recently the temperature has dropped a little bit with that weird Yeti slot, and here we have another low variance number with pretty low potential. The graphics aren’t really up to the usual high standards of a game like Pink Elephants or Flame Busters, nor is there any of the usual psychedelic weirdness or hilarity of something like Esqueleto Explosivo!
But hey, sometimes it’s good to slow the action down a bit and try a game that works as bonus fodder. So, before we judge too soon, let’s dive in a take a look.
Tiger Rush Game Set Up
This is a simple slot on a 5 reel and 3 row game set up. It offers 10 paylines in the base game, increasing to 25 in the bonus round where the middle three reels each expand by 2 rows. The key features are the expanding wilds and free spins round.
Like all good Thunderkick games, Tiger Rush is available from 10p to £100 per spin. It has a low to medium variance and a 96.3% RTP.
Tiger Rush Game Symbols
There are seven basic symbols in the game – they are made up of brightly colored pebbles in purple, blue, red, green and yellow, and two illustrated forest scenes, one of which includes a bird. This is the highest paying symbol at 15x for five on a payline.
You should also watch out for the Wild symbol which is the Tiger, substituting for all others except the scatter. When it lands on the middle reels it ALWAYS expand to full reel height.
The scatter is the game logo and appears only on reels 1 and 5 to trigger the free spins round.
Tiger Rush Slot Features
Expanding Wilds – The Wild will always expand when it lands on reels 2, 3 and 4. When it does a re-spin is triggered. All other symbols are also stacked so you can hit a full screen of the top paying symbol this way.
Free Spins Bonus Round– To trigger the free spins with expanded reels 2 scatters are needed OR 1 scatter and 1 adjacent Wild (i.e. scatter on reel 1 and wild on reel 2, or scatter on reel 5 and wild on reel 4).
5 free spins are awarded for 2 scatters or a combination of 1 wild and 1 scatter. Landing both combinations at once will get you 10 free spins.
When the Free Spins round starts your middle three reels expand from three to five rows high and the round begins. The gameplay is the same with 25 paylines now instead of 10, and a max win potential of 1783x.
There are opportunities to pick up extra spins – 2 more scatters gets you 5 free spins and once again, 2 scatters and 2 wilds get you another 10!
THE SLOT BUZZ VERDICT
Tiger Rush has none of the high-octane feature-packed excitement of some of the best Thunderkick releases, but it clearly is targeted at a different audience. This one will please those who like their slots action to take place in the slow lane. The RTP is reasonable and the payouts are small and regular – it won’t sting you for your cash and laugh in your face that’s for sure. It’s pleasant enough for a rainy day, but for our money, we’re holding out for the next high volatility release!
