GAME SET-UP, SYMBOLS AND GRAPHICS
Simple stuff then – a 3 reel by 3 row game format built on a starry blue background. There are just five paylines in play at all times. The low value symbols are the fruits you’ll be familiar with from traditional slot games – cherries, lemons, plums. The premiums are also classics – bars, gold stars and Lucky 7s. The latter is the best paying of the standard icon at 5x for three in a row. The most important symbols of all is the Joker icon which represented the wild and subs for all others. GAMEPLAY AND FEATURES
There are two simple features in Sticky Joker – Wilds with re-spins and a multiplier wheel to enhance your wins. This is how they work:
Wilds and Re-Spins
Joker Wilds are useful for building wins here but they are also important in driving re-spins. When two or more land on one reel, a re-spins follows. The wilds that triggered the re-spins are also locked in place for the spin. It is possible to trigger further re-spins by landing more wilds. Again, each time the wilds lock in place it is possible to complete 9 wilds – a full screen worth 40x (8x across 5 paylines).
Wheel of Multipliers
When the re-spins end, if four or more wilds are displayed on the reels then the player enters the Wheel of Multipliers bonus round. This Wheel of Fortune style feature involves a wheel split into 12 segments, each containing a multiplier value of 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x. When the wheel stops, the value displayed is applied to the total win from the re-spins that set up the feature. Â It is possible from a 40x starting point to land the top win of 1,650x from the Wheel if you have the correct combination of wins in the re-spins part of the game.
OUR VERDICT
This is a no-nonsense slot with a simple mechanic. The medium variance and low potential mean it won’t attract much attention but if you want cheap, quick thrills then it’s kind of fun and whilst out of step with current trends, Sticky Joker’s vibrant colors and basic gameplay are a nice change for a short while.
