About Queen’s Day Tilt Slot
Sometimes it’s good just to sit back and enjoy a no-frills slot experience, with great potential and simple gameplay. That’s pretty much what you get with Play n Go’s latest creation, Queen’s Day Tilt.
Set in castle grounds, with Queen wild symbols and jousting knights, it’s a cool-looking slot game. But not for the feint-hearted. It comes at high variance, so don’t let that pretty exterior fool you – this one can deliver plenty of medieval torture if you get on a bad run.
Gameplay, Symbols and Pay Tables
Queen’s Day Tilt is set up on a simple 3×3 grid. To start winning you need to land two or more identical symbols in vertical or horizontal rows. Should you do so, the winning symbols will be removed and those above will drop down to replace them to potentially create more wins. It’s a kind of ‘avalanche’ feature, though no new symbols are added to the board after a win.
Where a win line is made up of 3 symbols, the middle symbol will be replaced with a wild to give more chances of consecutive wins.
Low value symbols in the game are made up of the card suits – Spades, Clubs, Hearts and Diamonds. Premium symbols are the red, blue and purple crests, and the blue and red knights who both deliver 8x for 3 identical symbols on a payline.
Look out as well for the Queen Wild symbol which substitutes for all others and also pays out 8x for 3 in a row.
Features and Bonuses
The Ruler Feature
During the base game the Ruler Feature will trigger at random after non-winning spins. Here, an extra wild is added to the reels to create the chance of a winline. During Free Spins EVERY non-winning spin if followed up with the Ruler Feature.
Tilt Feature
Following wining spins where symbols are removed from the reels, if ONLY ONE symbol remains then it is removed to trigger the free spins round.
Game of Accession Free Round
If you get a winning spin where BOTH premium knight symbols are showing in the payline, then the Game of Accession Free Round is triggered. This is a bonus spin with ONLY the two knights on the reels.
Here, you also choose one of the two knights who you think will create the most wins during the feature. If you are correct then you get double your winnings, if you are wrong then you simply collect your winnings. If it’s a tie, then the free spins round is triggered.
Queen’s Day Free Spins
If you clear the grid during the base game, you will automatically trigger the free spins round which comes with enhanced reels containing ONLY premium symbols and a minimum 2x multiplier.
Here, with each winning spin containing both knights your multiplier will increase by 1x.
And …
If you clear the grid again you will re-trigger the round.
And …
There is up to 5,000x potential in this bonus round.
The Slot Buzz Verdict
This is a beguiling little slot game which quickly draws you in because it’s so simple. Unfortunately, due to the high variance settings, the base game delivered us a lot of dry spins, but the action quickly hots up if you can clear the board and get into the bonus round. You are looking to land a few spins with both premium knight symbols to push up the multiplier before you’ll hit any decent payouts. Just beware, this will eat your cash in no time before it pays out!
