Outlaw

Big Time Gaming’s famous collaboration with English rock band, The Cult, resulted in the creation of two great slots, Lil’ Devil and Wild Flower, both titles derived from the band’s most popular songs. Once the duet found the path to success there’s little to beat a good old trilogy album, a trio which they now wrapped up with the third, but hopefully not final, rendition in their series. The series concludes with Outlaw – the lucky third great riff in BTG’s exciting slot songs trilogy with The Cult.

Where Can I Play Outlaw Slot?

ABOUT OUTLAW SLOT

Outlaw adds to the natural allure of its already popular theme via the addition of BTG’s highly in-demand Megaways engine. Fortunately, despite a totally new look and setting they decided to add a dollop of familiarity by keeping the grid layout similar to that of its predecessors. Play starts on 6 reels, with the first and sixth reels seemingly set at 45 degrees to flank the four centre reels. Since the number of rows on each reel can vary to fit anywhere from 2 to 7 symbols, the number of paylines can leap up to an impressive 117,649 ways to win.

Betting starts from 0.20 coins and moves up to a slightly limiting 15 coins per spin. Even though the betting range is kept within the lower ranges their corresponding payout potential is not. At its volatile best, Outlaw can shell out wins worth a stunning 64,400x your stake.

If you play Outlaw without keeping a tab on BTG’s The Cult series, you won’t miss out on too much. In fact, you can play each of these titles as a standalone BTG slot since the setting and theme of all three titles are miles apart. The reel design, use of two wilds, and bonus modes, combined with the band’s rock music input are the key facets linking them to The Cult’s slot series.

You don’t want to miss out on any of the installments of an excellent trilogy, so, we recommend you play Lil’ Devil and Wild Flower as well. Each title in the series builds and expands on the successes of its predecessor.

THEMES, SYMBOLS AND PAYTABLE

Outlaw opens in a desert canyon setting with nothing in much view aside from a vast expanse of skyp except barren lands tinted with the sun’s red glow. Ominous clouds loom large over the hills with no sign of life unless we count the birds flying in the sky and a few bushes. The background score keeps a light touch during the base game but springs to full-blown guitars once the bonus feature commences.

Regular pay symbols are made of A to 10 royals paying 0.3x to 0.4x the stake for landing six identical ones across the payline. High-paying symbols are an ensemble of cacti, bottles, roses, and pink skulls, offering 0.5x to 10x the bet for hitting six matching symbols.

We get Wild Sheriff and Wild Outlaw as full-reel wilds, both capable of substituting all other symbols except scatters. Full reel wilds appear only on reels 2 to 5, and wins get multiplied by x7 every time a Wild Sheriff is part of a winning combination.

RTP, VARIANCE AND PAYOUTS

Most Big Time Gaming slots are packed with powerful Return to Player, and with Outlaw, something similar is the case. It comes with a theoretical RTP of 96.10%, deemed above average for an online slot. However, the other two slots of The Cult series are equipped with better RTP numbers. And despite Outlaw being the latest rendition, its dipped value is a bit disconcerting.

Perhaps employing the Megaways engine has made the RTP drop a little, but ideally, that shouldn’t be an excuse. However, on the positive side, the slot runs on a high variance level, which works perfectly for a game flexing the maximum win of 64,400x the stake.

Except for the pink skull, the rest of the pay symbols generate wins when at least three of a kind land on consecutive reels in a left-to-right direction. Pink skull pays even when two identical ones show up on adjacent reels.

Gameplay and Features

The action during the base game of Outlaw remains the same as any other video slot. But as soon as you enter one of the bonus modes, the gameplay turns interesting.

Scatter Symbols

Instead of one, we get two scatter symbols in Outlaw – a standard Silver Scatter and a Gold Megascatter. Hitting 3 scatters triggers the free spins feature, and if one of the triggering scatters is the gold megascatter, Enhanced Free Spins feature kicks in. In both options, players can choose between Free Angel or Dizzy in the Head free spins feature.

Fallen Angel Free Spins

The feature starts with 7 free spins with one random low-paying symbol transforming into a sticky wild. Each time sticky wild lands in a free spin, it remains there for the remainder of the feature. Moreover, all symbols on the reel with sticky wilds are also locked in their positions. If a reel gets occupied only by sticky wilds, +3 free spins are awarded.

However, if you are playing the Enhanced Free Spins version, the rule remains pretty much the same except for an extra high-paying symbol selected as the 2nd sticky wild. Note that sticky wilds only appear on reels 2 to 5 during free spins.

Dizzy in the Head Free Spins

The Dizzy in the Head feature triggers with 8 free spins and provides a Full Reel Ladder Wild on each spin. The Ladder is made of multipliers going up to x77. If a winning line passes through the win ladder, it benefits from the corresponding multiplier on the reel.

Meanwhile, silver scatters also appear during this bonus round and landing 3, 4 or 5 of them in a spin provides 4, 6, or 8 additional free spins, respectively.

In the Enhanced version, whenever a ladder wild participates in a win, its multiplier value is incremented and remains so for the remainder of free spins. The maximum ladder multiplier you can achieve during this feature is x777.

Win Exchange

In the event your winning is more than 100x the stake, you can wager your winnings to buy free spins. But if your wins fall between 25x to 100x the total bet, you can gamble the amount to win free spins or the enhanced version on a two-segment wheel.

Bonus Buy

The Bonus Buy feature provides another way to trigger the bonus rounds. Simply pay 70x or 300x the stake to respectively enter either the free spins or Enhanced free spins feature. take note, the bonus purchase feature might not be available in some jurisdictions.

Best Payment Method to Deposit and Pay OUTLAW Slot Game

Nowadays, players can choose from a wide range of payment options in online casinos. Hence, it’s no surprise a tight competition among payment services is also thriving. But there aren’t many payment methods that can compete with the merits of PayPal.

PayPal is a highly-popular payment method in online casinos for multiple reasons. Firstly, PayPal is a secured e-wallet payment service that provides users easy access and mode of operation. Then, the payment method processes quick transactions, which helps you deposit money on a gambling site within a few seconds.

But the most impactful utility of PayPal is realised in PayPal casinos, where you can use the deposit method to win lucrative bonuses, promotions, bonus codes, cashback, etc. These bonus offers are tailor-made and designed exclusively for players who use PayPal as their preferred payment method.

OUR VERDICT

Outlaw’s max win potential is substantially higher than both its peers in The Cult series. The added deployment of BTG’s proprietary Megaways mechanic also differentiates and elevates this slot above the potential offered by its predecessors.

While these aspects are more than welcome additions, Outlaw’s above-average RTP of 96.10% fails to surpass the numbers offered by Lil’ Devil and Wild Flower.

Some may see the similarities in reel design as a bit of a drawback. Thankfully, all background visuals are entirely fresh despite offering a view of a spectacular North American desert canyon blended with a touch of the Wild West.

Overall, Outlaw is a pretty impressive slot that generously delivers in all areas required to create a casino game that is well worth your time.
