Not Enough Kittens Slot Review
ABOUT NOT ENOUGH KITTENS SLOT
Thunderkick games are, quite frankly, bonkers! They seem to be competing with Yggdrasil right now for the title of world’s craziest online slot game concept – maybe we’ll see that one at this year’s industry awards.
Overall, 2017 was a good year for Thunderkick, with some awesome and inventive slot titles, including the two high volatility games, Pink Elephants and Flame Busters. And in the run-up to Christmas, early December 2017, they brought us Not Enough Kittens, a game in which a looney professor in her laboratory watches on whilst 4 cats in boxes and some balls of string tumble around the reels.
Our Professor friend is known as Catarina (of course) Kettingur, and her laboratory is set in the P.U.S.S. facility where she is Head of Science. It’s a mad idea but to get back to the basics, this is a 5 reel and 35 payline slot which you can play from 10p up to £100 a go.
There are ample opportunities to win in the base game, up to 100x in fact, though this is rare. The real fun comes in the bonus round where you can land 25 free spins, and 25 more if you re-trigger. Plus the wilds get stacked, and as a game, it’s quite fun to look at too!
Not Enough Kittens Slot is available to play for free and for real across any device. You can try it right now at one of our recommended slot sites, Slots Million.

GAME SET-UP AND PAYTABLE
This game includes some interesting quirks for different symbols, so pay attention! The low value ones are the balls of string, and they are Blue, Purple, Pink, Orange and Yellow, with the latter paying out at 2.2x for 5 on a payline.
The higher paying symbols are the cats in boxes. They are a grey cat, a ginger tabby, a white cat, and a black cat. Now, the interesting part is that when any cat in a box lands in a payline with a wild, the cats literally double up to two in a box, and the prize does to. So, at the very highest level, two cats in a box appearing 5 (10) times in a payline (i.e. where a wild is included) leads to a 100x payout!
The Wild Symbol always substitutes for any other on a payline except the scatter, which itself is a letter F (for Free Spins).
There are some nice wins to be had in the base game, but if you want something special, look to land 3 or more scatters on reels 1, 3, and 5, to open up the Free Spins bonus round. This is how it works:
The number of Free Spins depends on the amount of scatters that trigger the round: 3 gets you 10 spins, 4 gets you 15 spins, 5 gets you 20 spins and 6 gets you 25 spins. The scatter can also appear as a double symbols (2 ‘F’s) which makes it easier to collect enough to get some good spins.
During the Free Spins round, the wilds are all stacked which gives you ample opportunity to score some big wins. Plus, you can re-trigger the spins once to give you 50 in total. You’ll need to hit 3 or more scatters to achieve this.
THE SLOT BUZZ VERDICT
Not Enough Kittens is definitely up there with one of the strangest slot themes we’ve encountered, but hey, it’s all about being original these days. Overall, the variance is around medium so don’t expect a quick run of modest payouts. You’ll probably need to wait and hope to land enough scatters to get a good run in the bonus round to make this one work for you. The maximum win through free spins is 3,650x. So worth a shot!
