ALL ABOUT GIZA: INFINITY REELS SLOT
In the age of Megaways⢠expanding reels Reelplayâs Infinity Reels engine is an interesting variation on the expansive game format where the payout potential of a slot can be increased by adding to the reel set. Giza is a follow-up to the steamy jungle game that was El Dorado Infinity Reels. It starts with a basic 3 reels, but every win adds a further reel to the set theoretically with no limit to how many can be added. Throw in extra multipliers and a free spins round with enhanced multipliers and you have yourself a handy little slot game that may just about bridge the gap between casual gamers and hard core slotters though itâs high(ish) variance will still make it one to be wary of.
GAME SET-UP, SYMBOLS AND GRAPHICS
Giza has some sharp graphics, taking inspiration from the famous ancient Egyptian landscape with a crumbling ruin, palm trees, the Nile and yellow-orange sandy deserts in the background. Open the game up and youâll be presented with 3 reels and 4 rows of symbols. The low value symbols are classic Egyptian images like lotuses, crosses and the Eye of Ra. Meanwhile the premium symbols are the gods Horus, Maahes, Sobek and Anubis. Look out as well for the classic Scarab Beetle Wild which subs in for all other symbols, and the Pyramid which will be required to trigger the free spins round.
Wins are formed by clusters of 5 or more identical symbols. There are a lot of multipliers in play throughout the game so you will often enhance your win by one of these.
GIZA: INFINITY REELS RTP, VARIANCE AND PAYOUTS
Giza is a slot that straddles the medium to high variance level. Itâs multipliers and free spins, combined with the reel expansion give it a high potential though at 10,000x and this one will appeal to those who love watching big win sequences build as more and more reels are added to the set. The RTP is a pretty standard 96.45%. All this means that whilst not as hardcore as the biggest and baddest Megaways⢠games, Giza will sticky be a tricky game to beat. So set your stake accordingly â the minimum here is 20p and itâs a good place to start.
GAMEPLAY AND FEATURES
Symbol Multiplier
The simple premise to Giza: Infinity Reels is that after each winning spin then the reels expand by one, without limit. At the same time, a multiplier value displayed to the right of the reels will also increase by 1x. The multiplier is also without limit.
Jackpot Feature
There is an extraordinary 888x jackpot feature in the game too. It can be unlocked by increasing the reel set to 15-wide. That would mean scoring 12 consecutive winning spins which is a tough ask â hence the high value prize. The action doesnât stop there though â you can keep on adding reels indefinitely if you can keep on winning! Any losing spin will re-set the reels to 3-wide and the multiplier to 1x.
Free Spins and Gamble
The star of the show as ever is the Free Spins round. All you need to do is land a win that includes the Pyramid symbol in the winline. This gets you 10 spins where for added fun the multiplier does not re-set between spins, and it increases by up to 5x each time. Note that any free spin without a win will reduce the multiplier by 1x. Also, if you land the Pyramid during the free spins round you will add a further 4 spins to your total.
There is also a Free Spins Gamble feature that comes into play at the end of the free spins round. Here you can gamble your winnings up to 5x. There is a special pay table within the game that explains how this feature works. The good news is that if you lose then the minimum you will walk away with is 50% of your winning â better than some gamble features where losing means walking away with nothing!Â
OUR VERDICT
Giza is an excellent follow up and another good slot in what is looking like a promising series of slot games. We hope Reelplay continue in this fashion because these are an interesting addition to the high variance cannon. The Free Spins round is really where it all happens and the 10,000x potential is only available in the bonus round. The gamble feature wasnât available in the El Dorado version of Infinity Spins and itâs a good add on that will appeal to some. But do be careful here if youâve spent a long time chasing down wins â sometimes its better to cash in!
