This is another beautifully-designed video slot from Thunderkick which evokes the golden era of drive-in movies in the 1950s in America. The backdrop to the reels looks like a sunset in Hollywood, and the animations are slick and cool.

The two central characters in the game are sweethearts, Jack and Rosie, who appear stacked and can be cloned across reels 2 to 5 to bring on some pretty impressive wins. GAME SET-UP AND PAYTABLE

In Full Moon Romance the reels are set up where the movie screen would be at the drive-in theatre. Three cars sit at the bottom of the game screen and the sun is front of them. It looks pretty cool!

The lower value symbols are the card ones of 9 through to Ace, with the Ace paying out 5x for 5 in a line. The higher value symbols are a bunch of roses, a Puppy Love symbol, the Sweetheart Werewolf, and the sweethearts themselves, Jack and Rosie. Jack pays out the most at 15x for five in a payline. The sweethearts can also appear stacked three high on reel 1 and then clone themselves onto reels 2 to 5 to push much bigger wins.

There is also a Wild symbol that will substitute for all others in a payline, and a Full Moon scatter symbol that gets you into the free spins round for three or more on one spin.

GAME FEATURES

There are two key features to point out in Full Moon Romance. They are as follows:

Clone Feature – this can occur in the base game or the Bonus round. If a stacked sweetheart lands on reel 1 then it will clone itself across reels 2 to 5. How many times it clones will be random, but obviously if it clones 5 times and it’s the higher paying Jack symbol you are looking at massive wins!

Free Spins Bonus Round – to trigger the free spins you will need to land three or more of the full moon scatter symbols. For three scatters you get 10 free spins, for four scatters you get 15 free spins and for five you get 20 free spins. You can re-trigger in the bonus round too to achieve 40 spins in total.

The clone feature applies in the bonus round as well, but here the sweethearts are represented as Werewolves, albeit with the same payouts.

THE SLOT BUZZ VERDICT

Full Moon Romance is a nice slot game from Thunderkick, and it delivers real thrills with the cloning sweethearts. When you land one on reel 1 and it lights up and starts cloning across the reels it can be pretty exciting. Cross your fingers it keeps going until reel 5! The free spins round is hard to trigger – this is a medium variance slot – but when it does there are some tasty wins to be had here too.
