ALL ABOUT FRUIT PARTY SLOT
Earlier this year Pragmatic Play turned to a classic slot theme for a stripped back 40 payline game called Fruit Rainbow. It had a high variance model which caught our attention but was a little disappointing due to it’s low potential at just 2,000x and the lack of features. For their May release Pragmatic have turned to the Fruit basked once again, this time taking us to a Fruit Party on a cluster-pays grid-based slot with the standard Cascading Wins format. Once again the variance is higher than average, but this time the top payout has been dialed-up to 5,000x and the addition of random multipliers that combine when they appear simultaneously in win clusters, get the blood pumping a bit harder. Simple, fruit-based fun for the high risk gambler – let’s dive in.
GAME SET-UP, SYMBOLS AND GRAPHICS
As we know, fruity slots are ten a penny in the casino – the theme has been around since the first slots were created in the last century. In this instance Pragmatic have worked-up a 7×7 grid slot with a cartoon feel and a summery background tune to keep the holiday vibe going. Your symbol clusters have to be a minimum of 5 in total, touching in a horizontal or vertical way or a combination of the two to trigger a payout and a cascade.
The symbols are represented by the hearts, stars, plums, grapes, apples, oranges and a high paying strawberry at 150x for 15 in one cluster. There is also a golden fruit scatter required to trigger the free spins round.
FRUIT PARTY SLOT RTP, VARIANCE AND PAYOUTS
This is a high variance cluster-pays game so despite its friendly party vibe be aware that it has a tough maths model that is hard to unlock. The RTP is set at a reasonable 96.5% and you can start playing from just 20p per spin. A top payout of 5,000x also suggests that Fruit Party may be capable of driving some high one-off sequences of wins, particularly when the multiplier combinations come into play.
GAMEPLAY AND FEATURES
Tumbling Reels / Cascading Wins
Like all good cluster-pays grid slots, Fruit Party works with a cascading wins mechanic – all winning symbols are removed from a cluster and new ones drop in to replace them. This continues until no more wins are formed.
In the base game the random multiplier feature is really important in transforming your wins. Any symbol can randomly include a 2x multiplier when it forms part of a cluster. When more than one multiplier appears in a cluster then they are combined with a maximum of 256x applied to your wins.
You need to land the Golden Fruit scatter to trigger the free spins feature. Three or more are required – 3 scatters get you 10 spins, 4 gets you 11 spins and 5 gets you 12 spins. To make the bonus round more interesting, the Random Multipliers are also in place, but this time they can be 4x as well as 2x, pushing the top payout potential up to 5,000x.
There is nothing original about Fruit Party that is for sure. Nonetheless it looks to be a lot of fun. Pragmatic have followed all the standard rules for a cluster-pays slot, with win cascades providing regular thrills in the base game, and multipliers spicing up the action, particularly in the bonus round. It’s unlikely that Fruity Party will be any more than a pleasant distraction during the 2020 summer, but for high risk fans it will provide some decent entertainment and a big enough top payout to chase. Enjoy, and gamble responsibly.
