Dolphin Coast

An ultra-high variance slot from MG, re-packaged and re-released for 2018 with a 96.45% RTP and max win potential of 15,625x. This somewhat dated-looking slot offers 3,125 ways to win on a 5 reel by 5 row set up, with 4x multipliers and stacked wilds available on each spin in the base game.

But the real treasures are saved for the bonus round where stacked premium symbols, and up to 25 free spins with re-triggers can land you that massive max win. Available at all Microgaming Casinos.

Where Can I Play Dolphin Coast Slot?

ALL ABOUT DOLPHIN COAST SLOT

Microgaming have been outsourcing a lot of their new game production in 2018. Just for the Win have brought us Sidewinder and Wildbrew in partnership with MG, whilst Triple Edge came on board for the dark fairy tale that is Dark Red.

And now, rather than showing us some new stuff of their own, MG have dipped back into the past and revamped this discontinued slot game with super-high variance and a massive win potential. And it’s that big payout possibility that is tweaking our interest as we take a look at this game.

Stylistically it’s nothing special – another Dolphin slot that looks like it was designed for Sea World in Margate – and the features are minimal – just a multiplier bonus in the base game, and those free spins. But there is compensation for this minimal set-up in the mind-blowing top payout, so let’s find out more.

Dolphin Coast Paytable

Dolphin Coast Game Set Up

This is a 5 reel by 5 row game, with a deep blue ocean backdrop to the reel set which is surrounded by yellow and gold paneling and adorned with sea creature symbols. There are no paylines as such – there are 3,125 ways to win.

You can spin this slot from 50p to £10 per play. Just beware that it has a high, high variance so the big wins are very few and far between. The RTP is 96.45%.

Dolphin Coast Game Symbols

This is a simple game in terms of graphics. The lower value symbols in the game are the cards, from 10 through to Ace. The premium symbols are the sea creatures. These are a starfish, sea horse, a striped fish, a jelly fish, an eel, and a turtle. The latter pays out 250x for five in a row.

There is also a wild symbol, the dolphin himself. He appears in stacks on reels 2 and 4 in the base game and substitutes for all other symbols bar the scatter and the game logo. In the bonus round the wild appears on ANY reel, though not in stacks

Dolphin Coast Slot Features

Wild Dolphin Bonus

This is the base game feature, triggered by landing the game logo in the middle reel. When this lands you get to pick from three dolphins to reveal a multiplier of 2x, 3x or 4x.

Free Spins Round

To set off the all-important free spins round you will first need to land enough scatters on a base game spin. This works as follows:

3 scatters = 15 free spins

4 scatters = 20 free spins

5 scatters = 25 free spins

NOTE – you can re-trigger the free spins during the bonus round as well!

Should you make it this far, this is your chance to land that top payout of 15,625x. You’ll hit it if you land a full screen of sea turtles! Remember, you can get the help of wilds to land your paylines too.

NOTE – during the free spins round, ALL premiums come stacked, but wilds only come as singles.

THE SLOT BUZZ VERDICT

This is classic old-skool Microgaming. There is nothing particularly imaginative or innovative going on here. It’s the simplest of slots that would not look out of place at a 1990s land-based casino. However, if that is to your taste, then it will do the job. Of course, it’s all about the free spins round, and re-triggers if you can get them. We expect the big wins to be few and far between, but spectacular when they arrive.
