Where Can I Play Divine Fortune Megaways™ Slot?

About Divine Fortune Megaways™

Divine Fortune Megaways is the sequel to Divine Fortune, NetEnt’s original Greek mythology slot. This is the next Net Ent classic to receive the Megaways treatment, following the success of Twin Spin Megaways™ and Gonzo’s Quest Megaways™. First impressions are focused on the lack of progressive jackpot – a central feature of the original – which has been replaced with 3 fixed bonus prizes. This will be a disappointment to fans, however there are a range of other features to soften the blow.

The gaming screen has Greek statues standing to each side of the reels and the Hellenic vibe continues with classic characters from Greek mythology on the reels. Instead of 5 reels and 20 paylines, we now get 6 reels and 117,649 ways to win. The number of symbols in play changes on every spin with 2 to 7 symbols appearing on each reel.

This slot has an average 96.06% RTP and medium-high volatility, which means players will find it slightly risky to play and there will be some peaks and troughs in payouts. The low 10p minimum bet offsets this though, so all players should be able to enjoy a decent spin session.

Symbols and Paytable

The premium symbols in Divine Fortune Megaways are related to Greek mythology with the Griffin, Minotaur, Nemean Lion and Medusa paying from 1.2x to 5x your bet for 6 matches. The usual high card symbols from 10 to Ace pay the lower rewards. The lettering on these card symbols has a pleasingly Greek appearance with gold and red colours.

You’ll need 3 matches to receive a payout but only 2 matches for Medusa. Although these symbol payouts are low, especially for a Megaways slot, the bonus features can boost the rewards considerably. To trigger a feature, you’ll be looking for Pegasus, which is the Wild symbol, and a hand holding a lightning bolt, which is the Scatter.

Without the progressive jackpot from the original, no six-figure payouts are waiting to strike in Divine Fortune Megaways. The best regular award is 500x stake for the top fixed award during Free Spins, though it’s theoretically possible to pocket 38,000x stake if you’re lucky with multiple bonus features.

Gameplay and Features

Falling Wild Respins

When Pegasus lands, all wins are paid and then the Wilds drop one position on the reels. The Wilds will keep awarding another Respin until they disappear off the screen.

Wild on Wild Feature

If you land another Pegasus on top of the Falling Wild, Pegasus expands to create a Stacked Wild. These will move down one position for every Respin and more Wilds will add more Respins.

Free Spins

If you hit 4, 5 or 6 Scatters, you’ll launch the Free Spins round with 10, 15 or 20 Free Spins respectively. Land another Scatter during these spins to receive another 5 spins. Any Wilds here will trigger the Wild on Wild feature.

Bonus Wins

During Free Spins, you’ll find Bronze, Silver and Gold Bonus Win symbols. If you collect 5 of these, you’ll win the respective prize of 10x, 25x or 500x stake with more than one win possible.

Our Verdict

Divine Fortune Megaways is a successful revamp of the massively popular original, taking the Hellenic masterpiece Divine Fortune and giving it a bigger playing zone and more ways to win. Despite the strong features of this sequel, many players will miss the progressive jackpot and this certainly reduces the excitement factor. The design retains the same high quality though and it’s packed with action thanks to the Wilds and Respins, not to mention the theoretical top payout of 38,000x stake. It’s hard to quibble with the 117,649 ways to win – if you’re a fan of Megaways, it’s a given you’ll enjoy the gameplay. The design is also visually stunning with the expanding Pegasus looking magnificent at full stretch. Megaways enthusiasts are certainly in for a treat when this is released in November 2020, but the reduced prizes will disappoint fans of the original.
