Storm Gaming Will be Producing Slots on the Megaways™ Engine

Everyone’s favourite high variance slot provider, Big Time Gaming, has licensed its famous Megaways™ game engine to the UK slot game developer, Storm Gaming.

This will be the second time that the Megaways™ engine has been licensed this year after Blueprint signed up in April 2018, as reported on The Slot Buzz news.

Since April Blueprint have released several games with Megaways™, including the brilliant Genie Jackpots and Diamond Mine slots.

Storm Gaming have a strong catalogue of branded slot games to which they could apply the high variance game mechanic, including I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, The Chase and Tipping Point.

Not only does the new deal with Big Time Gaming allow Storm to re-package these titles with Megaways™, but it also gives the supplier the option to develop new and unique slots as well, some of which are already inked into the Storm Road Map for release in early 2019.

Get ready for some high octane, high variance mega slots coming your way soon!

What Is Megaways™?

For any slots player who has been living under a rock for the last three years and doesn’t know, Megaways™ is a revolutionary game engine that was first used in BTG’s Dragon Born slot, but didn’t really make a big name for itself until it was featured on the incredible Bonanza and White Rabbit slots in 2017.

Since then every new release by BTG has been hotly anticipated and discussed in slots circles, including the upcoming and self-styled ‘most anticipated branded slot launch in history’, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Megaways™.

The brilliance of this game set up is in the random reel modifier system that allows for different reel and row configurations on every single spin to create a different number of ways to win each time.

Bonanza slot, for example, can create up to 117,649 ways to win. Typically, these games will have big bonus rounds with lots of free spins and multipliers to drive up the win potential.

On the new licensing deal, Storm Gaming said: “The MegaWays™ concept is remarkable; it provides for and delivers exciting game play on a whole new level.

“We shall be using MegaWays™ on new Storm concepts and licensed IP with a number of launches set for the coming months.”

Big Time Gaming CEO, Nik Robinson, said: “We’re looking forward to seeing how Storm use the MegaWays™ mechanic. Storm has some highly entertaining IP licenses that will work seamlessly with MegaWays™.”
