Tut's Twister Slot RTP and Review (Yggdrasil)
TUT’S TWISTER SLOT IN DETAIL
This year has been a mixed bag for Yggdrasil. Lucha Maniacs is a high-quality, high-variance game in our opinion, and the forthcoming Vikings Go To Hell is a fantastic addition to the series. However, Ozwin’s Jackpots and the low variance spooky number, Easter Island, did not impress us.
Tut’s Twister is a weird slot with several perplexing elements but a lot of promise. We’ll have to give this one a few spins before we figure it out, but we believe we’ll like it in the end.
The game follows the well-worn road of slot games with Ancient Egyptian themes. This one focuses on King Tut (Tutankhamen), a 19-year-old Egyptian pharaoh who died at the age of 19.
There are no scatters in this game, and there are no bonus rounds with free spins. Instead, wilds trigger Twister Reels, which are the major attractions. They initiate re-spins in which wilds are drawn into the twister along with an escalating multiplier.
Let’s learn more…
Tut’s Twister Slot’s Most Important Facts
- Tut’s Twister is a 25-payline slot featuring five reels and four rows.
- With a 96.1 percent RTP, this is a medium variance game.
- The game is set in King Tut’s tomb, and he is represented by a bizarre figure to the left of the reels, skeleton and half-clothed in mummy cloth, wielding a sword and wearing an Egyptian helmet.
- The game has just eight symbols: four low-value symbols (Spades, Clubs, Diamonds, and Hearts) and four high-value symbols (an antique scroll, a ring, a Horus pendant, and a money pot) (130x for 5 in a row).
- The Pharaoh himself, who represents the Wild and stands in for all others, is the game’s most important emblem.
- This slot accepts bets ranging from 25 cents to $125 each spin.
Features of Tut’s Twister
In this game, there are only two features. They appear on a regular basis, which keeps things interesting. Here’s how they function together:
To activate the Twister, you must land two King Tut Wild symbols on the reels in a single spin. Tut will become animated and point at one of the wilds, indicating that it is the Twister wild. Re-spins are triggered when the reel it’s on becomes a full twister!
Any wilds that fall on the reels during the re-spins become ‘walking wilds,’ and are drawn into the twister’s vortex. You earn another re-spin for each walking wild that lands, and a multiplier is activated if you get three walking wilds active at the same time.
With each extra three wandering wilds on the reels, your multiplier rises by one.
Your twister will continue until no more walking wilds remain. However, once the final wandering wild has been removed, you are given ONE MORE re-spin to see if you can land another wild to continue the round.
All of the wilds that were pulled into the twister are re-distributed onto the reels at the conclusion of the round, giving you another chance to win.
Collection of Twisters
Twister Collection is the other feature, and it revolves around the hieroglyphs that appear above the reels. Above reels 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, there are 3, 4, 5, 4, and 3 hieroglyph symbols, correspondingly.
The Twister Collection bonus is triggered if you can fill ALL of the hieroglyphs above one of the reels.
You’ll need to land single wilds on a spin to begin populating the hieroglyphs. They show symbols that may be hieroglyphic in nature. When it does, any vacant space above them is filled.
The Twister will begin after all places have been filled. When it occurs, any hieroglyphic symbols from the place where it was triggered are tossed into the reels, resulting in win chances.
The multiplier starts at 2x and rises by 1 for every three walking wilds at the start of the spin. And, just like the Twister Feature, all wilds that land during the re-spins become walking wilds.
THE VERDICT OF THE SLOT BUZZ
Tut’s Twister is a difficult game to grasp at first, but after a few spins, everything begins to make sense. It doesn’t have the entire feature set of some Yggdrasil slots – it’s all about the Twisters and Wilds – but it’s a decent player. Perhaps a polarising spot — you’ll either love it or loathe it! The volatility isn’t too high, and the highest payout of 1,000x is guaranteed to delight some.
Legacy of Egypt by Play n Go is another Egyptian slot worth checking out this year – it’s a high volatility game with free spins and 10x multipliers!
