Where Can I Play Survivor Megaways™ Slot?

ALL ABOUT SURVIVOR MEGAWAYS™ SLOT

The newest Big Time Gaming slot to feature the iconic Megaways™ mechanism is based on the popular US reality TV programme Survivor, in which a group of participants compete to be the last person remaining on a remote island and win a $1 million reward. The participants are divided into two tribes during the game: red and blue. To gain food and other pleasures, they must compete in mental and physical tests, and they eventually vote each other out until only one remains. Since its premiere in 2000, the programme has been a huge hit.

Banjay Group, a French production business, has licensed the Survivor brand to BTG. The Australian gaming studio has previously had a lot of success with its branded Megaways™ games, such as Who Wants To Be a Millionaire and Monopoly, by skillfully incorporating the ideas and elements of those games into their own slots engine. They do the same thing in Survivor Megaways™, where the reels are divided into two sections to reflect the red and blue teams from the TV programme, each with its own Progressive Multiplier Wild to help you win big, especially in the bonus round. This is in addition to the standard cascading winnings and free spins features.

THE GAME, SYMBOLS, AND GRAPHICS

The design and audio are both excellent, as they always are with Big Time Gaming slots. A sandy island beach with palm trees and a beautiful sky serves as the backdrop for the reel set.

When you load up the game, the first thing you’ll notice is that the reel set is changed. There are six reels in all, the first of which displays up to six rows and the others up to seven. This reduces the number of ways to win every spin to 100,842 from the normal 117,649. The reels themselves are separated into three sections: the top, the center 5×1, and the bottom. The red team is at the top, while the blue team is at the bottom. Each one comes with its own multiplier wild, which can be used in both the regular and bonus games.

The cards 9 through Ace are the low-value symbols, with prizes for three or more matching symbols appearing anywhere on consecutive reels from left to right. Tiki masks in green, red, blue, and purple are the premium symbols. The latter is the most lucrative, earning 50x for six on a payline. For only two in a payline, this one also pays out twice as much.

The red and blue tribal wilds only occur on the middle 6×1 reel segment, so keep an eye out for them. These symbols act as substitutes for all other symbols and increase the multipliers shown on the side of the reel set. Survivor Scatter symbols are also required to activate the free spins round.

It’s worth mentioning that the arithmetic model for Survivor Megaways™ is somewhat different from previous games in the series, since it only requires 3 scatters rather than 4 to activate the free spins round, and there are 100,482 rather than 117,649 ways to win every spin. Overall, it appears that volatility has been reduced slightly. Meanwhile, the RTP is a respectable 96.47 percent.

GAMEPLAY AND FEATURES

Reactions / Cascading Wins

The Reactions feature, which is seen in many other slots in the series and is sometimes known as Cascading Wins, is used in Survivor Megaways™. Winning symbols are removed from the reels and replaced with fresh ones after each winning spin. This can result in further wins, following which the process repeats itself until there are no more wins.

Progressive Wild Multipliers

The two tribe leaders, red and blue, are to the left of the reels. At the start, everyone is given a 1x multiplier value. When a red Urn appears on the top reel set, the red leader’s multiplier is increased by 1x, 2x, or 3x. When a blue Urn appears on the bottom reel set, it multiplies the blue leader’s multiplier in the similar way. When Wilds appear in the center 5×1 reel set, these Wild Multipliers are activated. The two values are merged when red and blue wilds land at the same time.

Bonus Spins

When three or more Survivor scatters appear on the reels at the same time, the Free Spins round is launched. Three scatters award 15 spins, with each subsequent scatter awarding an extra 5 spins. Night falls when the bonus round begins, adding a sense of ambiance to the proceedings!

Wild multipliers earned in the basic game carry over to the bonus round and do not reset until all of your spins have been finished. This opens up the possibility of creating some enormous multiplier numbers. You can also prolong the free spins round by hitting more scatters — three or more extra scatters will provide you with five additional free spins, with no limit to how many you can get in total.

OUR OPINION

Survivor is another another fantastic slot from Big Time Gaming. Although there are less features than in other branded slots such as Monopoly, the gameplay is still enjoyable, and the massive 44,000x top payoff is something that any slots lover will want to pursue. Of course, with such a high volatility game, it will be difficult to even get close to that, so everyone that plays Survivor should expect a challenging session and stake appropriately. Best of luck!
