RIVER OF SOULS – ALL ABOUT HADES
Fantasma Games has created Hades – River of Souls for people who want their slots to be dark and gloomy. Hades, the God of the Dead and King of the Underworld, is the God of the Dead and King of the Underworld, according to the Ancient Greek myth. He is not a guy to be trifled with, partially because he patrolled his domain with a three-headed dog, but also because he insured that none of the unfortunate individuals who entered would ever depart. It’s quite a story, and it’s motivated Fantasma to create a high-volatility slot of exceptional quality, taking a break from the Megaways™ gravy train and produced this one in the summer of 2020. We’re pleased to be reviewing Hades after their last release, the fantastic Hero’s Hunt, which introduced some ingenious gamification to the overall gameplay. Let’s see what he has planned…
SETTING UP THE GAME, SYMBOLS, AND GRAPHICS
Those who have played any of the Fantasma slots before will be familiar with its high-quality graphics. So it’s no surprise that the graphics of Hades – River of Souls are rather impressive. The enormous abyss, gloomy and rocky, serves as the backdrop for the reel set. Meanwhile, the soundtrack is appropriately eerie. The reels are set up in a 5×3 format, with only 10 fixed paylines active at any given time. This is a pay both ways slot, which means you may win by matching similar symbols on a payline in both the left and right directions.
Instead of using typical card suits and numbers, Fantasma has created low-value images based on creatures that feature in Greek mythology — lions, snakes, ravens, and deers. The most expensive ones are characters from the Hades narrative, including the main figure himself, who pays out a very respectable 10x for five on a payline.
Keep an eye out for Wild Trident symbols and the crucial Trident Scatter, which is necessary to activate the free spins round.
RTP, VARIANCE, AND PAYOUTS
Those who loved Hero’s Hunt will enjoy Hades – River of Souls’ high-risk model. Be wary of the threats this slot poses because the volatility is turned up very high. Before reaching a stunning win streak, you might get seriously hurt in a protracted string of losing spins. All of that happens only in the bonus rounds, which we’ll go over momentarily. For the time being, keep this in mind while selecting your stake. There are no complaints about the RTP, which is a respectable 96.56 percent, and spins start at $0.20 a spin.
FEATURES AND GAMEPLAY
Hades has a lot of new features thanks to Fantasma. Here’s how it works:
The Avalanche triumphs.
After a win, winning symbols slide off the reel set to be replaced by new ones, as we all know. More victories may occur as a result of this, and the process will resume until no more wins are triggered.
NOTE: Look for unique symbols in the space above the reels, which indicate that they may fall down in the next avalanche. This is a brand-new gizmo that excels at building suspense throughout your winning sequences.
Multiplier for Wild Souls
Wilds play a big role in this game, since they may replace all other symbols except the Trident Scatter. When three or more Wilds emerge in a victory during an Avalanche sequence, the Wild Souls multiplier rises by one. When a string of consecutive wins comes to an end, the multiplier is applied to your total win before being reset for the following spin. The multiplier does not reset between Avalanche sequences during the free spins round, as is customary.
Feature of Charon’s Skull
The skull is also a significant symbol in this case. If there are no wins when it lands, it will remove a handful of low-value symbols from the reels before replacing them with new ones, perhaps resulting in fresh wins.
Free Spins in Hades
The free spins round, as always, is the primary attraction. To start the round, you’ll need to land three or more Trident scatters. For three Tridents, you’ll earn 10 spins, and for each additional Trident in view, you’ll get another 5. The Wild Souls multiplier rises by 2x each time and does not re-set between avalanche victories, so the gameplay is very identical to the original game. You may also re-trigger the bonus round for extra free spins in the same way.
Hades – River of Souls is another another fantastic addition to the Fantasma collection from a company we’re growing to like. The visuals and audio are excellent, and the action is fluid and engaging, with some unique aspects to keep you interested during the relatively dull basic game. Anyone hoping to win big here will only be able to do so during the free spins phase, so keep an eye out for those Trident scatters, which will lead you to the highest payout of 5,058x. Have a good time while gambling responsibly.
