ALL ABOUT WOLF LEGEND MEGAWAYS™ SLOT
Since signing up to produce games built on the Megaways™ slot game engine, Blueprint Gaming has churned out more slots on the format of the expanding reels than any other studio. In the process, they have chosen not to re-invent the wheel, but rather stick to the tried and tested Bonanza features, with the occasional add-on for good measure. If you’re a fan you can find these games at most of the CA slot sites in our list.
In this instance, the six reel, 117,649 ways to win format is in full effect, with the only variation being the use of a Golden Streak feature with comes between the bonus round and the base game in which the player can win extra spins and then gamble for even more. It’s a neat trick, and one that at least sets the game slightly apart from all the other Megaways™ clones.
Wolf Legend Megaways™ Themes, Gameplay, Symbols and Pay Tables
Wolf Legend bears more than a passing resemblance to a few other games we could mention – IGT’s Wolf Run and Pragmatic’s Wolf Gold. The backdrop is made up of a moonlit landscape of rocks and canyons, all beneath a starry sky.
The graphics on the reels are simple. The symbols are the cards 9 through to Ace, and the prairie wildlife, made up of bald eagles, cougars, bisons, and wolves. The highest value of these is the wolf who has a top payout of 50,000x for six on a payline – standard for top paying symbols in a Megaways™slot.
There is also a wild – the howling wolf set against the moon – that only appears on the 4×1 reels set above the main one. The howling wolf on the main reel set represents the scatter and is required to trigger the free spins.
Wolf Legend Megaways™ Features
Just like many other Megaways™ games, Wolf Legend uses a Mystery Symbol in the base game to set up bigger wins. This is the sunset, and when it lands all instances on the reels shift to another identical symbol.
The free spins round is triggered by the scatter – each is worth between 1 and 5, randomly assigned before the bonus round starts. Then, before the main feature, a further Golden Streak round ensues in which more free spins can be acquired.
The feature takes place on the standard reel set.
You start with between 1 and 3 lifelines – determined by how many scatters you scored to trigger the round. After each spin, if scatters are present on the reels, then further free spins are added to your cache (between 1 and 5 for each scatter). However, if no scatter land, then one Lifeline is removed.
The Golden Streak continues until you have no more lifelines. Once over you have the option to gamble for more lifelines. However, if you lose the gamble, you lose your free spins and go back to the base game.
Once into the bonus round things play out like any other Bonanza clone – cascading wins, progressive unlimited multipliers increasing with each win, the opportunity to get more free spins if more scatters land. It’s all there – and with it the chance to enjoy some really thrilling win sequences.
THE SLOT BUZZ VERDICT
Blueprint’s Megaways™ catalogue is full of slots like this, and they are really milking the cash cow now. The danger of course will be that people get bored of the same thing each time. For now though, we love it – and the addition of the Golden Streak feature to boost your free spins is nice. Just be careful on that gamble – after getting all that way it would be gutting to lose out on the bonus round!
