About House of Doom 2 Slot
This video slot is definitely a follow up of the first part from 2018, only a bit polished up and upgraded. The visuals are better, though still dark and ominous, with riveting animations and a metal soundtrack done by a Swedish band named Candlemass. The slot resembles its successful predecessor Testament, launched by Play’n Go as well.
Once you’ve chosen the bet size from $0.20 minimum, you can click on the Spin button to begin playing. Payouts are delivered whenever 3 or more identical symbols land on adjacent payline positions.
RTP, Variance and Top Payout
The RTP, that is, the average you can expect to win when playing, stands a tad above the standard, at 96.25%.
The volatility is high, so you could be in for massive prizes, but will have to stay patient until they land. If luck is on your side, you could be looking at sums of up to 6,000x your stake, which is where the maximum payout stands.
Symbols and Paytable
Playing card symbols 10 through Ace resemble Gothic letters and occupy the Lower part of the Paytable, awarding from 2x to 3.5x your stake when 5 matching ones form a win. Ritual Relics, Knives, a Nightshade flower, Candles and a Skull represent premium symbols paying out between 4x and 10x the bet for 5 of a kind.
There are four different Wilds that truly make a difference in the game, not only by substituting other symbols except Scatter when completing wins, but also by issuing payouts of 2x, 5x and 25x the stake when 3, 4 or 5 land. To top it all off, each Wilds triggers its respective feature, with which we’ll deal later.
Gameplay and Features
All in all, both base game, Wild Modifiers and Free Spins bring forth a dynamic and rewarding gameplay. In the main game, Wilds replace icons and bring various Modifiers into play to help you boost your bankroll. On the other hand, it is always nice to activate Free Spins where the game’s greatest winning potential resides.
The Spirit Gate Feature
In base game a Spirit Gate can encase any reel. Whenever any Wild lands within it, it will expand to cover the whole reel, thus awarding a Respin with a Bonus.
The game offers greatest benefits through its four Wilds: Metal Priestess, Fire Mistress, Queen of the Damned and Spirit of Unity. Each Wild appearing within the Spirit Gate not only expands, but award a Respin with the respective Feature.
Metal Priestess transforms all high-win icons into the game’s top-paying, Skull symbol. Fire Mistress grants Multipliers of 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x, that can cause a great increasing in your balance. Queen of the Damned unlocks Spirit Gates on all reels, while the Spirit of Unity Wild awards all these Bonuses at the same time. However, this Wild can merely be seen throughout Crypt Spins.
The Free Spins Feature
Managing to obtain 3 Scatters depicted with a Crypt on reels 1, 3 or 5 opens the Free Spins Round. Depending on the Spirit active during base game, the corresponding Bonus is applied. One or more Spirit Gates are active and Scatters that land within them are upgraded into flaming Crypt Scatters. When freebies are over, a new Spirit is active in main game.
As for the Crypt Spins, they are triggered with 3 upgraded Scatters either in main game or during Free Spins. At least one Spirit gate is present throughout the feature on each spin.
What makes this video slot stand out from the crowd is the gripping and immersive atmosphere – the graphics and sounds really draw you in. Of course the variance is something to be aware of and means chasing down big wins will be a tough, and at times frustrating experience. Overall though, each part of the slot from design to features and audio combine really well to support the theme beautifully, making it a worthy follow-up to what is already a cult classic slot from Play n Go.
